Purpose of Position:

The Local Veteran Employment Representative (LVER) works with other service providers to promote veterans as job seekers who have highly marketable skills and experience. The LVER is the intermediary between core and intensive services. The LVER will work with job seekers, service providers, and employers to assist veterans in career success.

This position is a Pay Band 55.

Classification Description

Employment, Recruitment & Placement Operational

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalency and (2) years of experience in human resources, recruitment and placement, processing personnel transactions or eligibility determination in a public and/or social welfare program.

Employment Requirements:

Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Some travel will be required. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification within six (6) months of date of hire as a condition of continued employment.

Working Conditions:

Excessive use of keyboard and viewing computer monitor. Repetitive hand movement. Lifting up to 20 lbs. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required.
